Going Through Divorce? Let’s Work Together.

If you’re a middle-aged woman in a long-term marriage and contemplating divorce (or already going through one) because something is no longer quite right, you will need support with what comes next. Consider all the decisions that lie ahead: finances, retirement planning, housing, new schedules, what’s best for your children, possibly returning to the workforce or finding a way to stay in it with potentially new caregiving obligations, just to name a few. It can feel even more daunting when you might also be caring for your parents, confronting an empty nest, managing menopause, or realizing your emotional, romantic, and sexual needs have changed since you first got married.

This is a lot for one person to carry. But you don’t have to go through divorce alone.

My name is Kristen M. Ploetz. I’m a CDC Certified Divorce Coach with previous experience as a family law attorney and mediator. I work with women like you who want to approach their divorce and their future with strength, dignity, and confidence.

Ending a long-term marriage results in a range of emotions that have the potential to impair or immobilize planning and decision-making. This is true whether the divorce is amicable or high-conflict. So when thinking about your future, you should lead with information, not emotion. This is because processing all of your options in a measured, supported way helps create durable and sustainable outcomes. Structured decision-making during divorce leads to lower conflict, cost, and time.

If this sounds like how you want to show up in your divorce, keep reading.

Adequate support is essential to navigating divorce. There are several kinds of divorce professionals who you can (and often should) lean on. Attorneys, mediators, CDFAs, real estate experts, and therapists are among them. While many divorces cost tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees and can take years to become final, it doesn’t have to be this way when you have the right divorce professionals helping you at the right time, including a certified divorce coach.

Should you work with a CDC Certified Divorce Coach like me to have a lower cost, more efficient divorce?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, it’s time for you to set up a free 30-minute virtual discovery session to learn how I can help you move forward.

As a divorce coach, I work one-on-one with women like you in virtual sessions where you discover and decide what your true goals are, and how to best accomplish them in a way that aligns with your values. We move at your pace with your priorities as the guide.

I guide women toward reclaiming their confidence and calm while moving through divorce, and add structure to their thinking process. Women who work with me feel empowered, informed, and ready to handle their divorce and make decisions that align with the life they want to lead going forward.

After going through my own divorce and working as a family law attorney, I became a Certified Divorce Coach to guide women in midlife who want or need a change, no matter what the stakes may be. My areas of coaching expertise include:
